Coming from Germany to Australia to study, I found myself struggling to apply sunscreen on my back alone. I'd felt that annoyance on holidays before, but facing it every week made me look closer. And what I found made it more than just about inconvenience: Australia is the "skin cancer capital of the world." That made me realize the importance of building something people would actually use. Because carrying around a long stick labelled "Back Applicator" from Amazon doesn't quite feel like a 21st-century solution.
